I’m a journalist with a zeal for covering underreported social and cultural issues.
My professional journalism background includes reporting, photography, editing, videography and radio.
I’ve written on topics as diverse as the effects of overfishing in Lake Victoria, to the debate around genetically modified foods, to jury nullification, the heroin epidemic, the homeless crisis and marijuana legislation.
Previous columns include: ‘Thought for Food,’ a vegetarian restaurant column in India in New York; ‘The Vagabond,’ in the now-defunct Denver alternative weekly, Go-Go Magazine; and ‘Northside Views,’ a man-on-the-street column for the also now-defunct North Denver Tribune.
(On my website Wander Argentina I also have an interview-style column called Porteño Corner, which the Google Gods have determined is terrible for SEO — ¡Live and Learn!)
I’ve interviewed notable people such as writer/activists, Arundhati Roy and Laura Kriho; fashion designers, Mary McFadden and the notorious Anand Jon; musicians DJ Spooky, DJ Logic and Talvin Singh as well as many politicians and community leaders including and transcendental three-time U.S. presidential candidate, John Hagelin.
Most recently I made my U.K. radio debut reporting on Argentina’s reaction to Diego Maradona’s death for Times Radio UK.
